What to expect

Our Carpet Cleaning Process

A straightforward walkthrough of how a carpet cleaning appointment in Dickinson works — from the first inspection to the final review.
1

Pre-inspection & walkthrough

We look at each carpeted area, note traffic lanes, stains, pet spots and any concerns you point out. If we see issues we can't fully resolve, we tell you now rather than at the end.

2

Furniture prep & vacuuming

Small items are moved as needed. Vacuuming removes dry soil so the cleaning step can focus on embedded grime rather than surface dust.

3

Spot & pre-treatment

Stains, pet areas and heavy traffic lanes get targeted pre-treatment. This dwell time is what makes the actual extraction step effective.

4

Hot water extraction

Warm water and cleaning solution are worked into the carpet and immediately extracted, pulling loosened soil out with them. This is the deep-cleaning step.

5

Grooming & drying setup

Carpet pile is groomed to help it dry evenly. Air movers are set up in problem areas to speed up drying and reduce the risk of watermarks.

6

Final walkthrough

We walk the home or business with you, review problem spots, explain what came out and what didn't, and answer any questions before we leave.

Preparing for the Appointment

A few simple steps make cleaning day smoother — clearing small items, securing pets and making sure we can reach the areas being cleaned. See the full home preparation checklist for details.

After the Cleaning

Carpet is usually dry to the touch in 4–8 hours. Full drying can take longer in humid conditions or with dense pile. Our drying-time guide covers what to expect and how to speed things along.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a typical appointment take?

Most residential appointments take between 1 and 3 hours depending on square footage, condition and stair count. Larger homes and commercial jobs take longer.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

You do not have to stay for the whole appointment. We do ask that you're available at the start for a walkthrough and at the end for the final review.

Will the technician move my furniture?

Light furniture can typically be moved. We recommend clearing small items and breakables in advance. Very heavy pieces are usually cleaned around.

How soon can we walk on the carpet after?

You can walk on damp carpet with clean, dry socks right away. Wait until the carpet is fully dry before replacing area rugs or heavy furniture.
